Bourbon Teriyaki Glaze Recipe

2 tbsp finely chopped Ginger

2 tbsp finely chopped Garlic

1 finely chopped Jalapeno

3/4 cup Soy Sauce

1/2 cup Bourbon

1/3 cup Brown Sugar

1/4 cup Water

2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

2 tbsp Cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water

Saute garlic, ginger, and jalapeno in a bit of oil.  Add soy, bourbon, brown sugar, sesame seeds, and water and simmer for 10-15 minutes.  Add the cornstarch and water mixture.  This step can be omitted if the sauce is thick enough for your liking.  Continue to simmer the sauce for a few minutes after the cornstarch is added and keep an eye on it as it will suddenly thicken.  Remove from heat as soon as it approaches the thickness that you want.
