Taco Salad

1 lb. ground beef

1 green pepper, sliced

1/2 red onion, sliced

1 head of romaine letttuce, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 avocado, chopped

1 package of taco seasoning

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon canola oil

Directions:

Brown ground beef and drain fat. Add taco seasoning and water and let simmer for 5 minutes.

In a separate pan heat canola oil. When oil is hot add peppers and onions and sauts until soft.

In two bowls, divide romaine lettuce. Place pepper/onion mixture on top of lettuce, followed by beef, cheese, tomatoes, and avocado.

Dress salad how you please (ranch dressing works well).
