Oven Roasted Brisket

1 4-lb. brisket

Seasoning Mix: 1 tablespoon each salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder and a crushed bay leaf.

1 1/2 cups of beef broth


Preheat oven to 350.

Thoroughly cover meat with seasoning mix. Place in center of baking dish. Bake for one hour.

Lower oven temperature to 300 degrees. Remove roast from oven and add beef stock. Cover with foil and return to the oven and cook for another three hours or until fork tender.
